Entry : Week 8
Our last week involved filming our last interview and re-filming the first one based on better questions and a better understanding of what we want to accomplish in the narrative. Thanks to Professor Aaron's feedback, we have come to appreciate how big of a difference it makes to really get to true stories instead of just finding true answers to questions. The end result of all this re-filming work helps us to have landed on our idea, about viewing superstition not just as so

Entry : Week 7
During this week, we conducted the second interview with a person who holds superstitions out of their environment and upbringing. The sort of questions we posed to this person enabled them to start analyzing their superstitions to such an extent that they even questioned their own rationale behind these superstitions. It was quite interesting to observe this person acknowledging their superstitions were not their own choices but something they have developed out of their env

Entry : Week 6
During the past week, we were able to conduct our first interview and test out some new sound equipment and cameras. The technical result may not have been ideal; it would have helped if we knew how to operate all of the equipment properly. Nevertheless, it became quite instructive for us. Next week, we plan to begin editing this interview for submission while continuing to develop the rest of the documentar

Pitch, Feedback, and Refinement Week four was dedicated to presenting and improving our project. We pitched our treatment to the class and received constructive feedback from both our professors. They suggested to go in a slightly different direction and accordingly we made some small but important changes to our script to make it more focused on the idea of superstitions and societal judgement. We also drafted new interview questions and sent them to our professor for approv

Entry: Week 3
Filming and Script Development This week was about getting hands-on with production. We conducted our first interview with our potential lead character, which went really well and gave us valuable insight into how the story could unfold. We met as a group to discuss the script and narrative flow of our documentary and discussed other potential characters we can interview. We also began preparing for our upcoming class pitch, making sure our treatment clearly reflected our vis

Guidance and Topic Finalization This week, our team met up to exchange different ideas and directions for our film. Each of us brought some unique perspectives, which helped us explore various storylines. After presenting two of our final ideas to our professor, we received valuable feedback that guided us in refining our topic. Taking those suggestions into account, we discussed further to finalise the core idea for our film. The coming week, our tasks mainly include creat
